What to Bring: Returning Scouts- Class “A” Uniforms, New Scouts- Great Attitudes

Cost: $105 for returning Scouts $115 for new Scout includes 1 year subscription to Boy’s Life Magazine

Additional Information, Requirements, and Uniforms: 1st grade (Tigers), 2nd grade (Wolf), 3rd Graders (Bear), 4th Graders (Webelos I) and 5th Graders (Webelos II)

Adult Leader fees are $15.

Cub Scout Fun Day – Saturday September 10th, 2011

Come see what Cub Scouts is all about and how you can be a part of the action! Join us on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 10 a.m. to see how much fun Scouting can be.

Who: Boys 1st – 4th grades (Kids looking to join Cub Scouts and returning Scouts)
Where: Our Lady of Las Vegas School Field
When: Saturday, September 10, 2011 10:00 a.m. – Noon
What to Bring: Sunscreen and a towel (you will get wet).

Activities include:

• Arctic Survival
• Scooter Maneuver
• Awesome Anglers
• And more…

Thank you for participating in our Graduation and Advancement Pack meeting and camp out last weekend.  We hope you had a great time.  The sprinklers only came on once! Congratulations to all the cub scouts who participated.  We hope to see you again in August in your new den.  Thank you to all the parents who helped set up, cook, clean up and make the event a success.  We couldn’t do it without you.

April 29-30, 2011 - This year’s Mega Scout Expo was held at Tule Springs and it brought together Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts from Las Vegas, Henderson, and Boulder City. The Expo was spread out across the entire park, with games and activities for all to enjoy. Pack 99‘s booth was make their “World Famous bead Tie Slides”. Pack 99 received second place award this year for our booth. Scouts sure liked their tie-slide creations.

The Expo also provides family camping  Friday night. The area at the park looked like we were camping in the mountains, lots of trees and the lake right next to the camp site. The Bighorn District, which is the district Pack 99 belongs to, camped together in the same area. It was a little windy on Friday night and little chilly Saturday morning. Campers and participants received a nice 3″ collector’s patch (shown above). Thank you to all who came out to support Pack 99. If you weren’t able to make it this year we hope to see you next year. It was a fun family event and a great way to earn lots of belt loops and electives.

The Boys and their families took a hike up in Red Rock at the First Creek Trail. The weather was perfect for a hike.  The boys packed some food and enjoyed a lunch break around the boulders and trees.
